Terms+%26+Restrictions

The terms and restrictions for local churches, denominations, businesses and other ministries depend upon which membership option is selected.

MEMBERSHIP OPTIONS

Yearly Membership: Every membership to ChurchLawToday.com purchased by a church allows membership privileges (User Name and Password) to be shared with each member of that local church (all staff, volunteers and congregants).  Membership privileges are only available to the members of the congregation, and cannot be shared with any other congregation, group, or person. To qualify, members must attend services at the same physical location. If they attend services at a different physical location, they must be treated as a separate group and obtain their own membership.  Order a Yearly Membership.

Example 1. A local church purchases a ChurchLawToday.com Yearly Membership. The pastor, board members, staff members, and volunteer workers within the church all use the resources and training. This is an appropriate use of the privileges.

Example 2. Same facts as Example 1, but the church starts a mission church with 25 families from the congregation, and supports a new pastor for the new mission church. They allow members of the new church to use their User Name and Password to gain access to ChurchLawToday.com. This is a violation of the membership privileges. The new congregation must obtain its own membership to ChurchLawToday.com.

Example 3. A Diocese and a denominational agency each purchase a Yearly Membership. The Diocese and denominational agency cannot share the Password and User Name with any congregation or individual within their jurisdiction. Nor can they reprint articles or any other information from the site and distribute it in any means whatsoever to the churches with which they work. Rather, each individual congregation must purchase its own individual Yearly Membership.

Example 4. A parachurch organization purchases a Yearly Membership.  The organization has its headquarters in Colorado Springs, but also has staff members serving in other cities throughout the United States. Only paid employees who work at the Colorado Springs headquarters can access the site. Staff members who work in other cities, or even in other locations in Colorado Springs must obtain their own Yearly Membership, or the organization could consider purchasing a Group License or Group Umbrella to cover employees not based at their headquarters.

Example 5. A law office purchases a Yearly Membership. An attorney in the office has a church client. The attorney cannot share access to ChurchLawtoday.com with the client. The client must obtain his or her own Yearly Membership.

[ChurchLawToday.com offers Membership Discounts for parent organizations (e.g. denominations, dioceses, or law firms) that are willing to prepay for or actively promote the website to its group members (e.g. churches, parishes, or clients).]

Group License: A parent organization prepays for all of its group members to receive a one-year membership to ChurchLawToday.com. Group Licenses are offered to parent organizations for the price of $25.00 per year x total number of group members. (Retail Price is $78.00 per year).  Once a group member of the parent organization starts their membership, the same rules apply as if they had just purchased the Yearly Membership themselves.  (See above for details). Order a Group License.

Group Umbrella: A parent organization promotes to all of its group members to purchase a one-year membership to ChurchLawToday.com on their own. Group Umbrellas allow group members to receive this service for the discounted price of $50.00 each per year. (Retail Price is $78.00 per year). Each individual church pays for its own membership at the discounted price. The only financial commitment for the parent organization is to actively promote the website to its members. Order a Group Umbrella.
